Kindergarten Authors:
Publishing our eBooks!
This year, STEM Kindergarten was incredibly fortunate to receive four iPads through Donors Choose grants. Thanks to the generosity of STEM families and strangers, kindergarten students have been becoming published authors of their own eBooks this year! As the year has progressed, we have seen the complexity of the texts increase and can't wait to see what students will create by the end of the year. Another additional benefit of the eBooks is the amazing community that is being created as students help each other troubleshoot on the iPads and share their published stories with one another.

Thanks to professional development through Boundless Readers and Teaching in the Digital Age by Brian Puerling for the inspiration behind this project and to the parents and volunteers who helped us get started!
(Some audio is difficult to hear, but I tried to add closed captioning to the stories with a lot of background noise. Just click the CC button to enable closed captions.)
